Tressa Clydene Womack

Apple Valley, Utah - Tressa Clydene Womack, 73, passed away peacefully in her home in Apple Valley on July 2, 2013 surrounded by her family. Clydene was born on Feb. 22,1940 in St. Anthony, Idaho to parents Clyde and Tressa Garrett. She graduated from South Fremont High school in 1958 and married the love of her life Dennis Lee Womack on Oct. 7, 1958 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Clydene spent her adult years working as a professional in various jobs including office work and food service. Most of all, she enjoyed being a wife and a mother to her three children Jerry, Kathy and Carol. Clydene also had a passion for the written word and enjoyed writing poetry, articles and short essays, and could always be found reading a good book.

Clydene is survived by her mother, Tressa Garrett, 94, of Rexburg; her husband, Dennis; her brother, Brigham Garrett; and sisters: Geraldine Merrill, Sandra Schmidt, Pam Winkle and Ivana Nebeker. She is also survived by her children: Jerry Womack, Kathy Arnold and Carol Corey; as well as grandchildren: Kelly Arnold, Rusty Womack, Zade Womack, Dane Womack, Samantha Sadlier, Tressa Wheeler, Zoie Womack, Breanna Williams, Sage Robertson, Marvin Arnold, Nicki Arnold, Krissy Corey, Mazi Womack, Chelsea Corey and Tate Womack. Clydenesix great grandchildren: Gavin and Patrick Parman, Bracken Womack, Elijah Williams, Jack Sadlier and Acyx Genereaux. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde; father-in-law, Royal Womack; mother-in-law Lucille Womack; and son-in-law, Kevin Corey.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary Chapel, 140 North Main Street, Hurricane, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday at the Mortuary, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary, (435) 635-9922.
